GETTYSBURG — The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS) will present a prestigious award to Pennsylvania’s canine celebrity Libre and the advocate who helped spread his dramatic story around the globe.
HSUS will honor 14 “Advocates We Love” Awards to individuals across the country who are working to prevent animal cruelty. One of those awards will be presented to Libre and Jessica Blouch, who created the “Justice for Libre” Facebook page to draw attention to the Boston terrier’s amazing story of survival and recovery against incredible odds.
The award will be presented by:
- Senator Rich Alloway (R-33), author of Libre’s Law.
- John Moyer, Corporate Outreach Manager, Puppy Mills Campaign at the HSUS.
- Kristen Tullo, Pennsylvania State Director at the HSUS.
The award presentation will be held on Friday, February 17 at 1 p.m. at Senator Alloway’s district office at 16-A Deatrick Drive in Gettysburg.
