Alloway Encourages Community Residents to Donate Supplies for Local Animal Shelter

CHAMBERSBURG – Senator Rich Alloway (R-33) is inviting community residents to participate in a special “Christmas for the Puppies” donation event on Saturday from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. to support the Cumberland Valley Animal Shelter (CVAS).

Individuals who stop by with a donation during the event will be invited to take their own picture with Libre, the Boston Terrier whose shocking case of neglect and miraculous recovery served as the inspiration behind Pennsylvania’s stronger animal abuse statute that was signed into law earlier this year.

News Talk 103.7 will broadcast live on location during the event.

“Our local animal shelters do an amazing job of providing for homeless animals, but donations are vital to keep shelters like CVAS thriving,” Alloway said. “I encourage anyone who is able to donate supplies to stop by and help animals in need.”
