Alloway Supports Governor's Efficiency Measures

HARRISBURG – Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33) voiced his support today for Governor Corbett's efforts to improve state government efficiency.

Governor Corbett recently announced he would form a task force to conduct a comprehensive review and audit of all boards and commissions under his jurisdiction. The review will help identify and eliminate boards and commissions that serve little or no purpose for taxpayers.

The governor also expressed his opposition to the creation of any new licensing boards that do not protect public health and welfare.

"I applaud Governor Corbett for taking action to limit the size and scope of government and ensure that more of our tax dollars are used for programs and services that provide a tangible benefit our communities," Alloway said.
