Alloway Urges Residents to Sign Up for Local Traffic Advisories, Construction Notices

HARRISBURG – Local residents can sign up to receive traffic advisories and construction notices from PennDOT, according to Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33).

Motorists can sign up for all alerts in south central Pennsylvania or only specific counties. More information and sign-up help is available online at www.dot.state.pa.us.

The service allows motorists to receive the same press releases and traffic notices that PennDOT sends to news media outlets and professional traffic services such as Traffax and Total Traffic Network.

"Many construction projects will begin in the next few weeks, and it is important for individuals and businesses to know the timing and duration of any potential travel disruptions," Alloway said. "I encourage local residents to sign up for this free service to get the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding our roadways."
