Alloway Urges Chambersburg Area Residents to Participate in Job Fair

HARRISBURG – Senator Richard Alloway II (R-33) will host his second annual "Here To Help" job fair in Chambersburg on April 12 to help match job-seekers to local career opportunities.

The event will feature organizations from a number of different employment sectors, as well as representatives from various human services organizations to offer assistance to individuals who are looking for work.

Approximately 100 businesses and organizations are expected to take part. Workshops will be available to help participants learn more about important topics for job-seekers, such as resume preparation and interview skills. Information will also be available regarding services and benefits that are available to local veterans.

"With the economy slowly making progress toward recovery, businesses in our region have shown a willingness to add new positions," Alloway said. "This event offers a great opportunity for job-seekers to learn about employment opportunities in our area and make a great first impression with local businesses."

The job fair is being hosted by Alloway in conjunction with the Franklin County Area Development Corporation and PA CareerLink of Franklin County.

The job fair will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Chambersburg Mall at 3055 Black Gap Road. The mall is located off I-81 Exit 20 at Scotland. A complete list of organizations participating in the job fair is available at www.senatoralloway.com. More information is available by contacting Alloway's district office at (717) 264-6100.
